Unexpected changes!

Okay so it is Friday morning and I am watching Ellen on tv, and all of a sudden I get this email, and I see that it is from my professor and the travel agency that we are dealing with. The email reads as follows:
To all: US Airways has an equipment problem with its planes on Monday, and that has forced a change in our flights and will force us to go to Philadelphia in two groups. Please read the message below from Cultural Connections' Rachel Bourn with this information.  Then send me an email so I know that you read this. You will also receive a phone call to verify.

So what does this even mean?! It means that out of the 19 students going, four students and one professor will be departing Pittsburgh airport at the originally scheduled time of 3:30pm. The other 14 students will be departing at 1:15pm from Pittsburgh, and will have to arrive at the airport at 10:30am now instead of 12:30pm. So guess what… I am part of the 14 students who will be departing earlier…. I can’t say that I was to thrilled when I saw the email. I am not a person who likes to wait, or to have my schedule changed three days before we leave. I am dreading sitting in the Philadelphia airport for an extra three hours. But hey, what can I do? I just gotta go with the flow. Luckily my roommate Ashley is also one of the 14 students who will be departing earlier, like I have said before, I couldn’t do this trip without her. We both lean on each other for support.

For those of you that know me well, I am not a fan of flying, so my first thought that runs through my head when I see equipment problems…. Well lets just say it didn’t end well. I know, I jump to worst case scenarios with a snap of my finger. But we all have fears, right? Mine is just of flying.

On a lighter note, packing is coming along well. I am almost there, all of my clothes are packed and it is just the little things that need to go in my suitcase now. It is hard to believe the trip is only a few days away!

Keep praying for us!

Hasta la proxima!!

(Until next time!!)

Adiós!
